The Benefits of Real Estate Investing

Real estate is an asset class I really like and, I guess, over the years, having invested in stocks and bonds, to startup companies, to cryptocurrency ... You name it, I've dabbled in it. I've just gravitated towards real estate for a variety of reasons. There's a lot of tax benefits with real estate, as well. I like real estate. I think it's an asset class that I'm fairly comfortable with. I've been focusing more and more of my portfolio into real estate.

At the same time, there are some changes in the laws that have been coming, which seem to favor real estate, as well, so I think it's a good time, just in in history, so to speak. If you look at lending rates, historically, they're still pretty low compared to the '80s; the tax benefits are about as good as they can get with bonus depreciation, et cetera. So, it's a good time to be a real estate investor. Yes, it's harder to find good deals, but if you know what to look for, it's a great opportunity. I think that's still going to be true for the foreseeable future. Just looking at all the different types of investments out there, at least the ones I've tried out, I like real estate, and that's going to be my focus.
